Youth classes
Drama with Your Mama
It’s never too early to introduce children to the world of theatre! This class will engage you and your young one with creative play, movement and theatre games. The focus is on social, physical and vocal awareness, in a warm, nurturing and FUN environment! Your little one will build confidence and explore their imagination. This class is perfect for 1 to 3 year olds and their caregivers. Dressing up and silliness are welcome! Taught by Jessica Brady.

Youth Showcase
Students are offered a fun and exciting opportunity to be in a live one-act production and perform on Taproot’s stage. Find out what the professionals go through, from the first rehearsal to the final show. (No experience necessary.)
3rd-6th grades

Christmas Showcase
Think your kid or teen has what it takes to light up the stage? Give them a taste of the professional acting experience by signing them up for Christmas Showcase. Students will learn acting techniques during each class and put them into practice as they work together to put on a holiday production for friends and family. All levels welcomed; beginning students will learn the building blocks of acting while advanced students will be encouraged to stretch their acting skills. (No experience necessary.)

Holiday Break Camp
The spotlight is on your talented child this holiday season! End 2011 with a bang by signing your child up for Holiday Break Camp. Throughout the day, students will participate in large group activities and also be broken into smaller, age appropriate groups to sample from a great selection of theatre classics such as improv, acting technique, Shakespeare, musical theatre and much more in this week filled with fun and adventure. Kids will present what they’ve learned on the last day of camp. Taught by Marianne Savell.

Adult Showcase
You’re never too old to develop your acting skills. After all, you do it all the time, whether you realize it or not, in interviews, presentations, and telling stories. Whether you’re already an actor or you’ve never set foot on stage, embrace this opportunity to learn new techniques and develop your skills under professional tutelage tailored to your individual experience. You’ll put it all together while participating in the rehearsal process and performance of a one-act play to be presented on Taproot’s stage. Taught by Solomon Davis.
