2017 is off to a terrific start, thanks largely to the generosity of donors at Taproot’s annual fall fundraiser, Uncorked. Every year, Uncorked gives donors the opportunity to mingle with other members of the Taproot family, plus VIP actors, while enjoying a guided wine tasting. Among the highlights of the night is the live auction, a lively event which offers one-of-a-kind packages: brandy tastings with the cast of a Jewell Mainstage show, family-friendly pizza parties before A Charlie Brown Christmas, wines hand-selected by Board members and much more.

One of the most popular auction items at last November’s Uncorked fundraiser gave three couples the opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes of Room Service. The evening included a dinner with stage manager Abigail Pishaw and director Karen Lund, as well as the opportunity to sit in the tech booth backstage during the show. One donor commented:

We learned not only about the technical side of what it takes to run a show, but Abigail and Karen’s stories of why they chose the theater and why Taproot. Good food, great conversation, and a look behind the scenes at people living out their callings…inspiring!

Thank you.
