Based on the real-life friendship between famed contralto Marian Anderson and physicist Albert Einstein.
Marian Anderson is denied lodging after delighting a sold-out Princeton audience. When her long-time fan, Albert Einstein, invites her to stay in his home, the two begin a lifelong friendship. Watch as they grapple with their responsibility as an artist and scientist in a world plagued by racial segregation and a looming world war.

Bretteney Beverly directs Kataka Corn, Mark Emerson, Andrew Litzky, and Marlette Buchanan, Shana Emile, Jeff Allen Pierce, and Nolan Palmer understudy.

(September 18 – October 19)

Run Time: 1 hour 45 minutes including a 15 minute intermission.

Age recommendation: 14+ (children under 5 are never admitted)

Four Complimentary Tickets are available for My Lord, What a Night for your staff to use during select performances. To reserve your staff’s complimentary tickets: Email your request for tickets to churchtix@taproottheatre.org with “Church Tix” in the subject line by Tuesday, September 17, at 3pm. 

Include in the body of the email for each individual requesting tickets:

  • Number of Tickets & Performance Dates/Times 
    • Choose from:
      Wednesday, September 18 at 7:30pm
      Thursday, September 19 at 7:30pm
      Saturday, September 21 at 7:30pm
